The comments seincots of most newspaper sites are beyond embarrrear ending. Other than the Globe (using aggressive anti-troll tactics) I haven't noticed much of an effort to stop the nonsense. I would imagine what the Globe is doing is costly so they must actually value the potential of their site enough to protect it. The others likely have more pressing concerns, like staying afloat.
